Bio Just like the band, Caligagan's music is a miscegenation, a subtle alchemy between pop music, folk and reggae. The band is composed by Anthony Caligagan, singer and songwriter, Leopoldo Giannola, (guitarist and co-composer) and Enrico Calandrelli (guitarist, background vocals and co-composer aswell). Sebastien Bouland on the drums and background vocals, Antonio Sgro on bass. The band delivers an electro/acoustic kind of music, energetic and soft at the same time, with simple and effective melodies. Anthony, leadsinger, originally fromSweden, speaks five different languages. Citizen of the world, he gives us his voice through his musical conquests, and makes us travel to different continents. This universality offers to the band the legitimacy of presenting his peaceful talk with lyrics that talk about love and the respect between people. "Give to Get" is his philosophy. His first contract with an Italian label led him to Midem in Cannes and allowed him to meet his producer Philippe Delmas. His first album "Seven Languages" was released in February 2006 (Acapella/Nocturne). Caligagan's new opus "The Naked Garden" (2011) is produced by Gregory Darling (producer songwriter & artist) who has also worked with Julian Lennon. The album is mixed by Gregory Darling and Christian Gence. "The Naked Garden" is without a doubt the album of the maturity. Recorded in analog to keep the warmth of instruments and vocals, Anthony's voice, reveals his secrets, and takes us into folk and mixed tones with titles like "Real", "Easier said than done" or "Naked Garden" while "Give", a rhythmic and captivating title, lets us catch a glimpse of the new album's potential. And when listening to "Run", "Rewind" or "Swallow", we have no choice but to take what he gives us and ask for more. ............................................................................................................................................ Né d'une mère suédoise et d'un père philippin, Caligagan est un artiste aux multiples racines, partagé entre plusieurs cultures. Il y a une dizaine d'années, il décide de quitter sa Suède natale pour mettre le cap vers l'Italie où il fait la connaissance de ses deux futurs compagnons de route : Enrico Calandrelli (guitare rythmique/chant) et Leo Giannola (guitare solo). Ils décident alors de créer une formation 100% guitare, et de mettre en musique les premières chansons que Caligagan compose depuis plusieurs années. Deux ans plus tard, il signe son premier contrat avec un label italien, ce qui lui ouvre les portes du Midem, où il rencontre Philippe Delmas, qui deviendra son producteur. Citoyen du monde, nous abreuvant de sa voix érayée par ses conquêtes musicales, Caligagan nous fait voyager sur plusieurs continents... Cette universalité offre au groupe la légitimité de présenter son discours pacifique avec des textes qui prônent l'amour et le respect entre les gens. «Give to Get» est sa philosophie. Sortie le 17 Octobre 2011, son nouvel opus «The Naked Garden», réalisé par Grégory Darling, qui travaille entre autre avec Julian Lennon, et mixé par Christian Gence, est sans aucun doute l'album de la maturité. Enregistré en analogique pour garder l'émotion intacte et la chaleur de sa voix, Caligagan, dévoile ses secrets et nous entraîne avec les titres «Real», « Easier said than done» ou «Naked Garden» dans des sonorités folk et métissées. Viennent s'ajouter «Give», «Run», «Rewind» ou encore «Swallow », des titres rythmés et envoutants. Avec ce nouvel album, on ne peut que prendre ce qu'il nous offre et en redemander encore... La version Francophone en featuring avec Marjorie est soutenue par les Radios (RTL 2, Virgin, Radio Vinci, TOP music, Totem, France Bleu Azu ) est intègré depui le 24 décembre sur RTL 2 et Virgin. Caligagan sera en tournée dans toute la France dés Janvier 2012.
